Kennett Country Club

The Kennett Country Club MGA held the 2nd annual  Golf Getaway party this past weekend at the club.  Last year’s event was a tremendous success as was the 2008 party.  In 2007 this proved to be a major fund-raising event for the KCC Men’s Golf Association and this year was just as successful.

Captain Tony provided an excellent meal to those that attended and excellent entertainment was provided by local Kennett band Jaded.  A total of 96 out of the possible 100 tickets were sold to the event which included dinner for two, live band entertainment and the prize drawings.   The winners of the gift certificate drawings are listed below:

A very big “Thank You” goes out to everyone that purchased tickets to the event, donated items for the drawings and contributed to the setup and planning of the event.  The Men’s Golf Association at KCC thanks you for your support and hopes you will join us next year.

The MGA also provided cameras for attendees to take pictures of the event - look for those be developed and posted on the site sometime in the coming weeks.

The Dunklin County Relay For Life Teams of Family Counseling Center and Business and Professional Women’s Club invite you to our Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, March 29th, at the Kennett Country Club. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society Dunklin County Relay for Life event being held on May 30 and 31, 2008.

Please fill out the enclosed entry form and return it to us as soon as possible. Deadline for entries is Wednesday, March 26, 2008. You will find out who your team members are the morning you arrive to play. Teams will be put together by handicap, mixing the players as fairly as possible.

If you are unable to attend the golf outing, you may still want to make a donation to the American Cancer Society. We would sincerely appreciate any amount you might give to help us in our fight against cancer.

The tentative 2008 KCC golf tournament schedule has been posted on the Tournament section of the site.

We’ve added a couple of new tournaments this year and are adding more details to the tournament section of the site as they are released from the tournament committee. The details and dates of the Kennett Cup, KCC Club Championship and the annual MGA tournament are still being discussed.

Check the tournament schedule and start marking your calendar for the dates. Remember to signup early for the tournaments as they will fill up quickly.

Kennett Country Club members and guests are invited to come out to enjoy live entertainment on Saturday December 22nd, 2007.

What: Live entertainment provided by Noll Billings and Andrew Moore. This duo of Noll on acoustic guitar and Andrew on Piano has performed at Kennett Country Club numerous times in the past. Strong vocals and harmonies as well as a wide variety of music old and new are the strengths of this duo. They have performed together with guest musicians this time around Christmas for several years. Look for some special guests to perform as well.

If you haven’t heard Noll and Andrew play before - you are really missing out on some great entertainment. Be sure to contact the KCC clubhouse and make your reservations early as tables will fill up quickly. Make your reservations now to make sure you get the best seats in the house.

The bar will be in full swing and the dining rooms will be open and available with Captain Tony’s deluxe buffet.

Don’t forget the 2007 Kennett Country Club Christmas Party is Saturday, December 8th. The Christmas Dance will take place from 7:30pm - 11:30pm, will feature live band entertainment and a deluxe buffet.

If you haven’t already reserved a table, be sure to contact the clubhouse to make your reservation. Seating will be available in all three dining areas and the bar - so make your reservation now to make sure you have plenty of room to join in the festivities.

2007 KCC Christmas Dance

Celebrate the jolly holiday season at the 2007 Kennett Country Club Christmas Party and Dance. This will be the first Christmas Dance held at KCC in many years and we are expecting a great party this year. Live music entertainment will be provided by local Kennett, Missouri favorites: JADED - Matthew Poole, Daren Cunningham, Nathan Creed, Matt Jackson, and Joey Privett. Come out and join us to celebrate a “Merry Christmas” and “Jolly Good Time”!

The extensive song list and high quality entertainment provided by Lee and Larry Hufford of The Sound Connection has provided great entertainment at past events at KCC - come out and join us this Friday to join in the festivities.
