Kennett Country Club

The 3 Man Scramble at Kennett Country Club was held on Saturday April 22 and Sunday April 23.  It was a beautiful weekend at Kennett Country Club.  The course was in wonderful condition for the first tournament of the golf season, the rain stayed away and the temperature held fast into the 80’s throughout the tournament this weekend. Although fairly high winds played a considerable factor in the scoring this weekend, the players couldn’t have asked for better weather this early in the tournament season. The tournament hosted a full field of 91 teams - 273 players at the course on Saturday and Sunday.

The Kennett Country Club golf tournament season begins this coming weekend Saturday April 22nd and Sunday April 23rd with the 3 Man Scramble Golf Tournament.  The course will be closed this coming weekend as Kennett Country Club hosts approximately 90 teams (270 players).

There are still spots remaining for the Saturday morning tee time if you are interested in putting a team together.  Contact Mike or Vicki in the Pro Shop at (573) 888-9945 to secure an available spot in the tournament.

The next Men’s Golf Association will be held on April 10, 2006 at Kennett Country Club. A tenative schedule is as follows:

Weather permitting, all MGA members that wish to play golf can play either side - everyone should play from the GOLD tees.

Dinner will begin at approximately 6:45pm in the clubhouse.  The cooks this month are Jingo and Paul. Hamburgers, chips and all the trimmings will be served at dinner.

Also be aware that MGA dues go up to $20.00 per year if not paid at the April 10, 2006 meeting.  Handicap sheets have been placed outside the Pro Shop for you to begin posting scores for your Handicap.  If you are already a MGA member and you name is not listed, please write in your name and your scores. New handicap cards will be handed out after the first of May.
