KCC 3-Man Scramble - Tournament Update

The KCC 3-Man Scramble is coming up this weekend: Saturday April 21st and Sunday April 22nd. The festivities for the weekend will start Friday evening this year, here is the current agenda and additional information regarding the tournament.

Friday April 20th 2007

There will be a shootout friday afternoon starting around 5:00pm or 5:30pm. Depending on participation, we’ll have both individual and team shootouts. Individuals play their own ball from the blue tees, ball down. Team shootout will be 3 player teams, blue tees, ball down, true alternate shot. Cost is $20 per player for either format. High scores on each hole will be eliminated down to one team or individual - winner take all. If you’d like to participate in the shootout, contact Mike in the Pro Shop at (573)888-9945.

Saturday April 21st, 2007

Shotgun start at 8am and 1pm.

We’ll have separate morning and afternoon skins games - cost is $30 per team. Skins winners will be announced at the dinner/calcutta Saturday night.

Half & Half pot tickets will be available for sale all day saturday. The drawing will take place after the Saturday evening meal prior to the calcutta.

KCC Women’s Golf Association is selling tickets to win a Nike Sasquatch driver.

Something new we are going to try this year is a ‘Calcutta Pre-Buy’. Before you tee off on Saturday morning or afternoon, you will have the opportunity to ‘Pre-Buy’ your own team in the calcutta for the price of $100. If you ‘Pre-Buy’ your team, you own it and your team will not be available for auction at the calcutta saturday evening. This is in an effort to increase payout amounts in the calcutta and decrease the time spent auctioning off teams after the Saturday meal.

There will be two hole prizes in both the morning and afternoon flights. These will be announced after the meal saturday evening prior to the calcutta.

Dinner will be served after the afternoon flight completes their round. This is included in your entry fee. Skins, hole prizes and other drawings will be announced prior to the calcutta after the meal.

Sunday April 22nd, 2007

Shotgun start at 8am and 1pm.

The 3-Man tournament was a great success last year and we are trying to do even more for our tournament participants this year. There are still slots available in the tournament, if you have not already signed up and you’d like to play, please contact the KCC Pro Shop at (573)888-9945. If you don’t already have a three player team, you might also give the Pro Shop a call, as there are usually players looking to step in and play on short notice.

Watch the site closely as I’ll post more updates from the tournament and possibly some photos starting once the shootout is completed tomorrow night.

The Clubhouse Grille - Vendor Change

The Kennett Country Club restaurant is currently undergoing a change of vendor. The Clubhouse Grille, including the bar will be temporarily closed until Tuesday, February 6th, 2007. This brief closure of the restaurant and bar is necessary to allow our new restaurant vendors time to settle into their new business venture.

Please be patient with us during the transition of the Kennett Country Club restaurant and bar as our new vendors work to provide KCC members and guests with the high quality food, service and atmosphere that our membership has come to know and love.

If you have questions or comments about the closure or our new restaurant vendors, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Highway 412 Construction

Just a quick note to advise current KCC members and guests to exercise caution when entering or leaving Kennett Country Club. The construction project involving the expansion of Highway 412 has reached the edge of Kennett and our Country Club now.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has worked very hard trying not to disrupt the flow of traffic coming into or leaving Kennett and to prevent Kennett Country Club from making major modifications to our golf course as a result of the construction. In an effort to return the same courtesy to MoDot, the contractors and workers, we ask that members and guests of Kennett Country Club exercise caution and patience while entering and leaving the Country Club. We do not have a definite schedule of when concrete work will begin or be completed, but will try to update you when and if the entry to Kennett Country Club will be closed. Please contact us if you have further questions regarding the construction and we’ll provide you the most timely and accurate information possible.
