The Trend - Reunion

In celebration of the 25 year anniversary of their album “The Trend Is In!”, The Trend held a special performance at Kennett Country Club on March 2nd, 2007. This five piece power-pop quintet of the 1980’s is made up of the following Kennett musicians:

John McMullen - songwriter, rhythm guitar & vocals

Brian Mitchell - drums

Matt Collier - frontman

Mike Astrachan - lead guitar

Bill Joslyn - Bass

The Trend played to a packed house in Kennett Country Club and took us all back to the 1980’s with cuts from their album such as: She’s Hi-Fi and (I feel like a) Dictionary. Members of the group have long since moved in their own personal directions, but since their album release many years ago and the cult following experienced in Columbia Missouri, they have made several live ‘reunited’ appearances over the years in Kennett, Nashville, St Louis, and as far away as Los Angeles. Even after their prime, they have experienced some success with a couple of songs from their album being included on the compilation CD’s “Yellow Pills: Prefill” and the “International Pop Overthrow - Volume 8” which are still available for purchase from Amazon and VH1shop.com. Performances by The Trend are now very rare indeed, but they are well worth the wait. Ladies and Gentlemen… The Trend is in.
