MGA Match play events are still in progress and we’re finally down to the final three contestants.  Keep an eye out on the site and we’ll post the brackets and match information once play has been completed.  The date has been set for the Club Championship but the Kennett Cup tournament date is still waiting to be scheduled.  Review updated information below or on the Tournament Schedule.

The 2-Man Scramble held at Kennett Country Club this past weekend was the largest and probably best tournament of the year.  128 teams participated in seven flights,  there was a great meal and entertainment on Saturday night  provided by Captain Tony’s and The Sound Connection - scoring results of the golf tournament are listed below:

It is almost that time… the Kennett Country Club Men’s Golf Association is selling tickets to win a brand new Club Car golf cart! Only 100 tickets will be sold, so your odds of winning are very, very good. In addition to the brand new golf cart the MGA is giving away, there will be 5 additional tickets drawn for cash prizes from $100 to $500 dollars.

Time is running out to get your tickets - at the last meeting, there were only approximately 20 tickets left to be sold!  Ticket price is $100 per ticket, and you can’t beat the odds with only 100 tickets being sold.   One lucky person is going to win a brand new Club Car golf cart and five others are going to walk away with cash prizes - but you can’t win if you don’t buy a ticket.  There are less than 20 tickets left for sale and the drawing will take place next weekend at the 2-Man scramble golf tournament the weekend of August 16th.

The KCC Men’s Golf Association is proud to sponsor this event and proceeds from ticket sales will go to the MGA.  Even if you don’t win, know that you made a positive contribution to the MGA that funds many projects that improve our golf course and country club.

There were 13 players in the June 13 Friday night shootout for the 2008 Kennett Country Club Member-Guest golf tournament.  Play was suspended after 4 holes of the shootout and the event was called  due to inclement weather Friday evening.  The results of the individual shootout are as follows:

Member-Guest Shootout Results

Donnie Shelton, Steve Pellham, Roger Wheeler, Ryan Bauschlicher, Bart Jones, Don Downing, Gary Simmons, Scotty Davis and Dustin Pritchett were the players remaining in the shootout when play was suspended.  These players split the shootout pot evenly once the event was called.

The Kennett Country Club Member-Guest golf tournament is coming up this weekend June 14-15.  KCC has already had two successful tournaments this year and the Member-Guest is going to be no exception.   The golf course is in perfect shape for a tournament thanks to the hard work by our Greens Superintendent, Randy Kieffner, and his staff and some favorable warm weather.

Individual Shoot-Out

Friday, June 13 at 5:30 pm.  There is a signup sheet posted near the KCC Pro Shop.  Entry is $20 per player, winner take all

Member-Guest Golf Tournament

Shotgun start at 8am and 1pm Saturday and Sunday

Hole prizes on almost every hole.

Meal after play has been completed on Saturday

Calcutta begins at approximately 7:30pm with a live DJ and dancing to follow from 9pm to 12am.

Even if you are not playing in the tournament, members and their guests are welcome to come out for dinner and entertainment Saturday evening. We look forward to seeing you this weekend
